The whole family went to watch my brother Isaac get sworn in as a lawyer this week. My five-year-old brother and I found this sculpture, and we decided it was the coolest thing ever 😂. (The five year old took the pics; he should be a photographer.) It was a lot of fun exploring the capitol area with my little brothers. This sculpture is called "First Case," and I bet it's exactly what Isaac looks like right now. Anyway, congrats, Isaac! All my brothers are so stinkin' smart.

Went on a long walk today, shortly after the rain stopped. The air had a cool bite to it, the earth smelled fresh, the sky was clear and the sun was warm. I'm in a part of life where everything seems to be changing, and I'm not really sure what it's all changing to. I had so many thoughts on that walk, but they were all reflective of what God has blessed me with lately: peace. He is the One who makes everything new and He is the One who will one day do away with all the things that weigh us down. I've never been this unsure about what tomorrow will bring. And I've never been this okay with that ❤️

"Almost Morning" is a song of theirs that God sent to me at one of the darkest times of my life. It was special to hear it again live. (don't worry, old pic 😉) Strange picture to post on Valentine's Day, perhaps, but... today marks 1 year since my last day in hospital. One year ago today I finally believed I wasn't going to die, like I'd been so sure of for so long. One year ago today I was in a post surgery haze, promising I would live all of these extra moments to the fullest. However you're feeling today, remember it doesn't have to be the end. Don't be afraid of tomorrow, or pain, or love. For God hasn't given us the spirit of fear but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind, and He says so many times that He loves you and to not be afraid. ❤️
Sorry for the messy post. Suppose I felt like reminiscing today. Lots of love to y'all 💞
